"Hey, you okay?" I asked ____, who still has her head in her hands. I decided to leave her alone once I heard her yelling on the phone. There was no need to get involved when there's someone yelling. Unless you want to get hurt. So I left ____ alone until the exasperated talking stopped and I could hear a phone being thrown onto my bed.

"Is finding out that your parents knew all along that your fiancé was going to cheat on you sooner or later and had arranged me to marry some perfect stranger okay Poko-tan?" ____ asked, lifting her head up to look at me helplessly. She looks so lost, like a broken little chihuahua, it just about broke my heart.

"Nah. That sucks." I said bluntly. ____ flopped down on my bed and buried herself in my comforter and blankets, shutting herself out from the world. Which is probably what she wants in the first place.

"I don't want to marry this, this Takeshi Takakuwa, his name practically sounds the same! Like Tak Tak Tak!" ____ said, throwing her arms up and laying one across her forehead dramatically. She looked like a damsel in distress. I laughed and sat down in the edge of my bed, careful to not be sitting on her feet as I tossed a little pillow at her lap.

"Tell me what happened, and let go of your anger on this pillow instead of on me." I said as ____ began to punch the pillow furiously. Pwap! Pwup! Pwap! Pwup! Pwap! Pwup! went her fists on my pillow as she told me her conversation with her mom.

"So, what do you think I should do? I don't want to marry him, but I don't want to give my parents a hard time." ____ sighed as she finally stopped punching my poor pillow.

"Well, you told your mom that you'll meet this Takakuwa person, so you better meet him. Find out if you want to get to know him or you just want to stay single a little more before you do anything stupid."  I said, trying to be reasonable. ____ however, didn't like it and threw a pillow at my direction but missed by a few inches.

"I thought you were on my side Poko-tan!" ____ said, acting a little bit like a child. It was actually kinda cute. But I need to stay focused and get to the topic!

"I AM on your side, but it can't hurt to see how he is. Everyone deserves a chance. You gave me a chance, and look where we are now." I said, gesturing to my house. ____ huffed but she sighed afterwards, leaning into the pillows surrounding her.

"I'm at your house and you're my best friend." ____ said. I grinned and flashed her a thumbs up of approval.

"Exactly! Listen to me, if your mother likes this Takakuwa guy so much, then it can't hurt to just try to like him. I'll tell you what, if you still don't like him and you've met him and etc., I'll talk to your parents and I'll try to convince them that you don't need this arranged marriage." I said, the words coming out of my mouth before I could think. ____ looked happy by my proposition and sat up straight as she extended her pinky finger out to me.

"Pinky promise?" ____ asked, her eyes looking so expectantly at me, I couldn't deny them.

"I pinky promise. Now let's have something to eat! I'm hungry, aren't you?" I asked, standing up and heading to the kitchen. ____ took a long time to come and follow me to the kitchen, but she did. She found me with a black and white apron on as I tried to make breakfast, American pancakes.

"I didn't know you can cook." ____ murmured as she washed her hands at my kitchen sink.

"There's a lot about me that you probably didn't know." I said while humming a song Koma'n had got into my head the other day, 'Deep Sea Girl'. I was about to flip some pancakes over when I saw ____ search for plates in my cupboards in the corner of my eye.

"Hey Poko-tan, where do you keep your plates around here?" ____ asked, closing another cupboard after not finding any plates. I put two pancakes on two separate plates and placed them on my dining table and pointed at a cupboard above ____'s head.

"You were so close, the plates are up there and the cups are next to it. Breakfast is ready so stop searching and start eating." I said, hanging up my apron and sitting down to eat. ____ was quick to join me and brought two cups of juice over to the table.

"I saw that you didn't get yourself a drink, so I got us some juice. Is that okay?" ____ asked, sliding the cup of juice to me as she took a sip out from her own cup. I was about to take a bite out of my freshly made pancakes when I heard a doorbell ring.

"Do you want to get that?" ____ asked me, putting down her cup to look at the door. I didn't call anyone over to my house, so I wonder who could that be?

"I think it's best if I did. Just stay here." I said, shoveling half of my pancake and heading to the door. My mouth was still full, so when I opened the door, I nearly spat my half-eaten pancake out.

"What the hell are you guys doing here?!" I said, looking at who stood at my doorstep. Five people stood at my doorstep, four males and one female. As a rather new Utaite, ____ probably didn't know these guys, but I did, I knew them very well.

"Surprise Poko-tan~" 96neko purred amiably, her eyes sparkling brightly. A well known trap singer in her own right, 96neko is my friend, my very cat-like, eccentric, Len-loving friend.

"Can we come in Poko-tan? It's hot out here!" Koma'n said, bouncing in place. My youngest friend so far, Koma'n's talent for piano is well known and greatly respected.

"Uh, sure, b-but stay clear from the dining table." I said as I let my friends in.

"Did I just hear you stutter?" Kettaro asked with a grin on his face as he ran inside my living room. Kettaro's a good singer, but he's better known for being the only one who raps in our group, called Root Five.

"I think he just did. Is there something in the dining room that you don't want to show us?" Mi-chan asked, sitting down at the couch and relaxing into it. A husky sounding singer with a deep vibrato, Mi-chan was a fan favorite known for adding animal noises in his songs sometimes.

"Why is there a girl in your dining room?" Dasoku said blatantly. Ignoring my previous request, Dasoku looked into the dining room and was surprised to see ____ there. ____ was lying underneath the dining table, her neglected food lying cold on the tabletop. She must have hid when she heard voices.

    "A GIRL?!"
As per to a request of a friend, I had 96neko and the rest of the ROOT FIVE debut here~

This chapter is in Pokota's POV btw~

This is story/plot/idea belongs to me
Pokota, the rest of ROOT FIVE, and 96neko do NOT belong to me (they own themselves)
